I found this on the Fucked Company website about the company I used to work for ... see Fucked Company was hosted by Hostcentric ... so they kept bad shit off the boards about them [totally not fair but when you are getting some free bandwidth it is cost effective to sensor] ... but now they have moved to a new host ... and all sorts of juicy stuff is popping up ...
in response to previous post on Hostcentric:
If you knew how they treated their employees you might seriously consider this.
For example: casual Friday's cost ya a buck. Yep if you work at Hostcentric and want to dress casual on Friday ya gotta pay a buck. And the parking lot is a mile away (the call center being in a former warehouse does not have many parking spots) in a dirt lot. Of course you can pay to actually park at work, that is if you don't want to spend 30-40 minutes a day unpaid going to and from your car.
There is more...
I guess I should clarify that the call center (techs, billing, sales, etc) is not in Fremont California where the actual server is, but in Florida
Of course Hostcentrics low wages, taking advantage of the current market, etc. have allowed them to maintain profitability. They do tend to run a tight (cheap) operation not spending any more than necessary on equipment or anything else.
Signed, a former (one of many) Hostcentric employee.
