First Professional Haircut

So today we decided we just needed to get out of the house ... Curly Top was all dressed and ready to go out but her curly hair was so crazy that she looked like a mad scientist ... Einstein ... the professor on Back to the Future ... so we decided going to get a real hair cut was what we would do ...

We got to Cartoon Cuts and she seemed to like the place ... we put our name down and then went and got a smoothie ... we were all hanging out outside and she was the one that wanted to go back in ... saying hi to people ... watching cartoons on TV ... totally happy ... and she knew I had a ballet shoe necklace for her for after she got her haircut ...

They called her name and we all headed back ... and then the devil emerged ... holy cow ... I don't even know the child that was with us ...

Screaming at the top of her lungs ... crying ... freaking out ... she didn't want to sit there alone ... or on my lap or on D's lap ... thrashing around ... all the while saying "no tanks ... no tanks ... no TANKS ... NO TANKS" ... just as polite as can be while screaming like a lunatic ...

Unfortunately the woman that was to cut her hair wasn't very good at helping out ... and kept saying, "Well what do you want to do to it." ... nothing about it was a good experience so we decided to go ...

As we got outside I said, "So do you want mommy to trim your hair at home and we can do a pedicure too?" ... and she said in this sad little voice, "yes please." ... then started wiping tears from her eyes going, "wooo ... woooo ... wooo" ... like "man that was tough" ...

So no professional haircut ... and I am fine with that ... she doesn't even have a full head of hair and it was going to cost more than I spend on my own hair ... :)

Besides I can probably cut it for sometime ... curly hair you don't notice if you mess up ...
