All weekend I just kept noticing how in awe I was of Curly Top ... I know everyone says your love for a kid is greater than you ever expected ... but I also admire her so much ...
If you ask for kisses she stops whatever she is doing to come over and give you a kiss and then say "awwww"
She makes sure to offer you any of her snack and I even catch her offering her baby dolls and stuffed "melmo" and cookie monster sips of her juice
When she gives me a hug she pats my back and when she is snuggling on the couch she strokes my arm
When she is watching something on TV or reading her book and someone is crying or upset she has such empathy for them and feels the exact same way, she always wants to make sure everyone is OK
She constantly said "You OK" just like I say to her when she is jumping in her bounce house or falls down while running around
She was just oh so excited to buy her daddy a Father's Day gift and she carried that gift bag across the room with such a huge smile on her face and was giddy while he was opening it ... I just couldn't believe she comprehended the idea of giving gifts
Lately she seems to be working really hard pronouncing the letters of the alphabet that she struggles with cause she loves how excited we get and she starts cheering and clapping when she gets a new one
She also has started talking to me on the phone when I am not at home which I absolutely adore ... I don't always understand what she is saying but she can spend a good 5+ minutes with me on the phone and it is just oh so fun ... I just love it ... I can't wait till I can understand everything she says ...
She really is just such a great kid ... we lucked out so big time ... I often catch myself wondering how we got so lucky ... especially when she comes running up to me with her arms spread wide saying "awwww mommy" in the perfect little Shirley Temple voice she has ...
