Yummy!!

Today my office sent me an awesome gift ... an Edible Arrangement ... both my and Curly Top's eyes bugged out big time when we saw it ... the arrangement is absolutely amazing ... 

The fruit is beyond delicious ... we all dug in right away and had big huge delicious bowls of strawberries ... it was the perfect afternoon surprise ...

My friend Amy also sent Curly Top her own little present yesterday ... a "kitty kitty" (Hello Kitty) water bottle which the child is in LOVE with ... she has been carrying it around everywhere saying ... "kitty kitty wawa" ... she thinks it is the coolest thing ever ... gotta say I am pretty happy my little one loves Hello Kitty cause I have been in love with Hello Kitty for somewhere around 35 years now ... :)

This is what I want

This is what I want to find ... this particular one is a little more than $1000 ... someone is selling it for $600 on Craigslist but that is still way more than I can spend ... I really need to find someone selling it for dirt cheap cause they don't know what they have ...

The Quest for the Sno-cone Machine

At the picnic this weekend they had an awesome sno-cone machine ... and Curly Top and I LOVED the sno-cones ... so I decided I was going to find one for us ... not only would it be cool to be able to make our own sno-cones ... her lemonade stands would be the ht of the neighborhood ... I mean who wouldn't stop to get a sno-cone from a cute little Curly Top ...

Little did I know they were about $600 ... way way more than I expected ... so now I need to keep a look out for one on the Rasmus auctions I am so very fond of ... by summer next year I am going to find a killer one ... it is my goal ...

Little Things ...

Yesterday on one of D's rides on his moped I asked him if he could get me a card reader ... my desktop has gotten to crawling speeds and we can't figure out why ... so I need to do my photos from my laptop ... he got me a great card reader and an even more awesome gift for my desk ...

It is these little things that I love so very much ... he so knew I would dig this ... it hooks up to a USB port on my computer ... and it just makes me smile every time I look at it ... he seriously ROCKS!!

Present making time ...

Today Curly Top and I are heading to a paint your own pottery place to make something for D for Father's Day ... I am pretty excited about doing this ... first of all it is going to be a girls day out ... which is always nice ... especially after yesterday ... it was more than 24 hours from when I put her to bed on Thursday night until I saw her again when I picked her up at my parents ... for me that is far too long ...

It is supposed to be dangerously hot here today ... I wanted to go to the pottery place first thing but there is a private party till 1 so we will need to venture out during the height of the heat ... so maybe it will be a soak in the baby pool in the backyard evening ...

The Perfect Gift

For almost 9 years now I have tried so hard to get my husband the perfect gift ...

I think the pressure started our first Christmas together ... we had only know each other a very short time and he got me the best gift I had ever gotten ... it will sound silly ... but it was an awesome bubble lamp ... tall lamp for the corner filled with water ... light changes colors and bubble swirled through it ... I cried ... not while he was still there but after he left ... I couldn't believe that in just 2 weeks he got me something that I loved so much ...

never have I gotten him something he loved ...

in fact I've wound up selling lots of the stuff I got him on eBay ... or it sits in the closet ...

Well his birthday is coming up in like a week and a half and he has given me no indication as to what he wants ... so again I am struggling to find the perfect gift ... that I can also afford ...

otherwise I would buy him a Cobra and never buy anything else ever again ...

NYC Hotel

The Stanhope, Park Hyatt New York : New York Since May 25th is David's birthday my brother has set us up at that hotel ... it looks so sweet ... my brother travels so much that he gets free nights all over the place ... so we are leaving tomorrow afternoon ... checking into the hotel ... hopfully it won't be raining too much and we are going to go hang out in Central Park and see the Alice in Wonderland statue ... go out for dinner ... and then head back to the hotel and enjoy our room ... then on Saturday ... we are going to sleep in ... have breakfast in bed ... and go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art before heading home ... everything is really close so even if it is raining it won't be too bad ...


i really am sooooo excited ... i should head to bed ... even though i can sleep in tomorrow ... wooooohooooo

you know i bet we should be brining a present tomorrow ... and don't have anything ... hummm i should check on that ...
