Writing more often

I am not sure what has been happening that I haven't been writing ... but I need to get better ... so lets recap what has been happening ...


Last weekend David and I got a new coffee table that is totally awesome ... a new end table ... and new hall lights ... all of them rock ... it was a great weekend ... and my coffee table is so great for scrapbooking I can hardly believe it ... and the new lights are beautiful ...


at the beginning of the month we made our first attempt at having a baby but alas it didn't happen on the first try ... I didn't really think that it would but it should would have been great if it did ... we are both so excited to expand our family of 2+cat ... :)


On Thursday David developed the most awesome lint catcher for the dryer ... it may not sound that great but we don't have a vent that leads outside so the house can get pretty dusty from all the lint ... his contraption is amazing ... and he put dimmer switches on our hall and entry lights which makes such a huge difference ... sometimes they were a bit too bright ...


This weekend I discovered [was told about by my brother] FreeCycle.org ... the site is amazing ... it is location specific ... and people list stuff they are giving away or things they are looking for ... so far I have given away our coffee table and someone is coming by tomorrow morning to pick it up ... and I posted that I needed paperback books and other items for care packages for our troops in Iraq and have gotten 4 responses from people so far that have things to donate ... so awesome ... the site is totally worth checking out ... it is like eBay for free ... I mean we had to get rid of our old coffee table ... it is in good shape and I hated to give it away ... now it will have a good home ... this will be a fantastic way to get rid of stuff that has piled up in the house that we just don't need anymore ... I highly suggest checking it out ... :)

All Finished

well i did it ... everything is pretty much finished and it is before 2 AM ... ahhhhhhhhh it looks sooooooo much better ... i have a few things here and there that need to be put away ... and the stuff on the walls needs to be rehung ... and the place is ready ... i am so glad i did the majority of it ... the stuff that is left i look forward to ... not only is the bedroom done ... the kitchen is completely redone and it looks awesome ... soooooo much more room ... if we didn't have our bikes in the kitchen we could have a small kitchen table ... but that will be for the next house ... i don't want to buy another thing to bring down here ...

right now i am watching the end of the second I Love Lucy and waiting for the first load of hots to be finished so i can take a quick shower ... hummmm i should probably do a little work before i go to bed ... hummmm maybe there is some old bath towel in the cabinet and i can use that so i can get some work done while the second to the last load is drying ... then i can do like an hours worth of work and head to bed ... sleep in a little if i go ahead and shower and wash my hair tonight ... ohhhh this is all sounding like a great idea ... that is what i am going to do ...

First Post On My New Blog

Ahhh a new blog ... I'm so excited ... today was the perfect day to start ...
This morning David and I were up pretty early and we went to Home Depot ... we got some herbs and new pots for them ... we got some screen so I could fashion something at the front door so we could get some air down in this dungeon ... [living in the basement can be so fun] ... and we got a bulb for the bubble lamp ... we also stopped at a killer garage sale and I got a bitchen kitchen cabinet that needs some work but is from the 50's and is PERFECT for the new microwave ...

so anyway ... we got home ... changed the bubble lamp bulb and sat down to watch some TV ... both of us heard something in the kitchen but neither of us thought about it ... Kramer even came into the room and did that horrible dry heave thing ... and we still thought nothing about it ... I mean come on ... cats and hairballs go hand in hand ... and he was laying on the bed ... looking a little green in the face and didn't even get hyper when we were playing with him ... when David got up and went into the kitchen to get something to drink ... we learned what was going on with Kramer ...

the poor cat had eaten the entire Lemon Grass plant ... there was dirt all over the floor and a huge clump of slobbery Lemon Grass in the middle of the kitchen ... we could not stop laughing ... and every time we looked at Kramer ... all sick to his stomach ... we kept giggling ...

I worked for a while ... took a nap with David ... fooled around ... showered ... went to Applebee's for dinner ... and then have been working on my parents website the rest of the night ...

and tomorrow morning I am for sure sleeping in ... it is so great that David doesn't work on the weekends anymore ... i love that we can sleep in ... hang out ... get stuff done or do nothing at all ... its having a real life again ...
