Dental Headache

I had yet another dentist appointment ... for a deeper cleaning ... only to find out now they want to do the deep cleaning ... she tried to do it today and I said no way ... I just wasn't up for it at all ...

I'm not too fond of her ... feels like she hurts my teeth a lot ... and gums ... and now I am dealing with a killer headache ...

But at least I get to spend the rest of the day with Curly Top ... that makes it all worth while ...

The joy of the dentist

So today I had a 2 hour plus dental appointment ... now I do love my dentist but I think what I hate so much is that it hurts for hours and days afterwards ... it is my own fault that I waited so long to go ... that was just stupid ...

I got fitted for my crown so I have a temp in ... and of course while working she saw a bit of a cavity forming and said she didn't trust me and was just going to go ahead and fill it right now ... my gums are beyond swollen and I am a bit starving cause I just haven't been able to eat anything yet ... I keep thinking soup sounds good for dinner ... thank God for soup ...

I also got a new night guard cause I am killing my teeth grinding them so much ... I laughed when she put it in and asked how long she thought it would last ... she thinks forever ... I am giving it no more than 3 weeks ...

I think one of the reasons D and I are still together is cause he says my grinding doesn't bother him ... he is the only person in the world ... when my brother and I have had to share a hotel room he puts in ear plugs and pushes them in all the way (he says this is the only time he has to do that) and he can still hear me ...

Once in a hotel there was a knock on the door in the middle of the night ... it was my neighbor they asked me to please stop whatever it was I was doing cause the sound was horrible and keeping them up ... I apologized and explained it was my teeth ... they asked how I had any left ... so we'll see ... I go back to get my permanent crown in 2 weeks and she asked me to bring my guard with me ... :)

I am making a promise to myself to not let my appointments slip by ... I don't want to have this much work done on one tooth ever again ... EVER AGAIN ...

Seriously ...

So I had a root canal on Thursday ... and Friday I was in a ton of pain ... not from the Novocaine shot ... which is normally where the day after pain is for me when having dental work ... but the actual tooth hurt ... couldn't bite down or anything ... but I know he did a lot of work and said it was quite inflamed ... so I called and got a pain killer ... which was alright ... still couldn't bite down but I understood why ...

Yesterday it was still hurting and anything I hate had to be done very gingerly ... which just sucks ...

This morning while brushing my teeth ... my temporary filling came out ... seriously ... just being in pain wasn't enough ... now it is all exposed ... just breathing makes the tooth feel like it is rattling ...

and of course it is Sunday ...

So I guess it is back to the endodontist first thing tomorrow morning ...
