kind of a not so groovy day ... david and i woke up right before he needed to leave for work ... so i wasn't much up for taking him or having him drop me off at work ... so i just had him take the car ... but we only got to spend about 15 minutes together ...


now while he was in the shower i was on the computer and everything was working fine ... i got up to kiss him goodbye ... sat back down and everything seemed funky ... i have been worrying about our DSL going out but all the lights were flashing on the modem and i had just been looking at a site ... so i rebooted ... and rebooted again ... and totally shut down and restarted again ... turned all of david's computers off [in case one of them was stealing my IP] ... rebooted again and nothing ... plugged in a phone cord ... signed on to aol and everything was fine ...


so damn it DSL is gone ... goodness we have got to get out of this basement ... and then we can get cable modem and all will be well ... get some static IPs and then we can hook up all 4 computers ...


so now all the work i haven't had time to get to ... that i was going to do this morning ... i have been painstakenly working through a fricken aol dial up ... i don't think any one can even image how slow it is to pcAnywhere into a computer to work through aol ... i can smoke a cig while i am waiting for the 'click' of my mouse to take effect ...


ahhh well i better get back to work ... i should actually get dressed and go get some cigs ... i have 2 left ...
